In the photo of David Gulipilil it is unclear what he does. It is of Gulipilil at the beach in Sydney holding a can of beer. With face paint on. The Australian elements of this photograph stems from Gulipilil's Aboriginality, the sydney beach location and the beer.

The photograph taken in 1999 by jonathan anderson and edwin low is of well known Australian swimmer michael klim. Klim is photographed on the bottom of the pool under water. It makes obvious michael klim is a swimmer. Even if the viewer didn't know of him the location privides an insight in to what he did. I find this photo to be particularly Australian because of the close ties that Australians have with water.

The other photograph that I choose was a man in a beach chair. Australians love of the beach and beach culture is the aspect shown in this photograph. It also shows the laidback aspect of Australia and Australian.(couldn't find picture)

In this Photograph two men are leaning against a fence during a severe drought. The aspects and values that are shown in this photo are mateship- sticking together in hard times and resilence.

AWM

The Australian army uniform has changed since the early colonial days. In the first World War soliders wore wool because it was hard wearing and repelled water. In World War two most Australians soliders wore a cotton shirt and trousers in desert sand khaki. Modern soliders uniforms are camofluage design and made of light breathable frabic .
