AWM

The Australian army uniform has changed since the early colonial days. In the first World War soliders wore wool because it was hard wearing and repelled water. In World War two most Australians soliders wore a cotton shirt and trousers in desert sand khaki. Modern soliders uniforms are camofluage design and made of light breathable frabic .
